This Privacy Policy explains how Trexo Finance("Trexo," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you visit our website, apply for a savings round, or use related Trexo services in Nigeria.
By using our website or submitting an application, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the services or submit personal information.
1. Who we are
Trexo Finance operates vetted savings rounds and related personal savings tools. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at privacy@trexofinance.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with Trexo, we may collect:
- Identity and contact details: such as name, email address, phone number, and business or personal profile information you provide in an application.
- Application and verification documents: such as proof of funds, identification, business registration documents, bank statements, and other materials a round requires.
- Savings and round activity: contribution history, plan status, Savings Score signals, slot selection, payouts, wallet activity, and related account events.
- Payment details: limited payment-method information needed to process scheduled contributions, escrow where required, and withdrawals (processed through our payment partners).
- Technical and usage data: IP address, device/browser type, pages visited, and approximate location derived from technical logs when you use the website.
- Communications: messages you send to Trexo about applications, support, or complaints.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- operate the website and respond to enquiries or applications
- review applications and verify eligibility for a round or plan
- run contributions, escrow, payouts, and wallet features
- maintain Savings Score and related behavioural records used in round decisions
- communicate about applications, setup windows, contributions, and service updates
- improve product safety, prevent fraud or abuse, and meet legal or regulatory duties
- analyse site performance in aggregated or de-identified form where possible
4. Who can see your documents
Application documents are reviewed by authorised Trexo admins assessing your application. We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- service providers who help us host, secure, communicate, or process payments
- professional advisers where reasonably necessary
- authorities when required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request
- a successor entity if Trexo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or restructuring
Providers are expected to process personal information only for agreed purposes and with appropriate safeguards.
5. Legal bases and consent
Where Nigerian data protection law applies, we process personal information because it is needed to provide the service you requested, to pursue legitimate interests such as security and product integrity, to comply with legal obligations, or where you have given consent (for example, optional marketing). You may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, without affecting processing already carried out.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including application review, round operation, dispute handling, audit, and legal retention requirements. Document retention periods may differ by document type and round terms. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it where practicable.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we work to reduce risk and respond to incidents appropriately.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal information we hold about you
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- request deletion or restriction of processing in certain cases
- object to certain processing, including where based on legitimate interests
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent
- lodge a complaint with the relevant Nigerian data protection authority
To exercise these rights, email privacy@trexofinance.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for essential site function, security, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site features.
10. Children
Trexo services are intended for adults who can enter into a savings plan or round. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
11. International transfers
If personal information is processed outside Nigeria (for example by cloud or payment providers), we take steps designed to ensure appropriate protection consistent with applicable law and our contracts with those providers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the website or services after an update means you accept the revised policy, except where consent is required by law.
